SI to exhibit at SAGES, USA

Friday, 3 February, 2012

SI will be exhibiting at SAGES annual meeting for surgeons on 7-10 March this year in San Diego, California. Attended by a variety of surgeons including General Surgeons, Minimally Invasive Surgeons, Bariatric Surgeons and Endoscopic Surgeons, SAGES represents the perfect opportunity for SI to showcase our portfolio of products to the US.

The US is going to be a focus of SI moving forward, particularly with the recent announcement of FDA approval to sell the Logic™ range of reusable instruments in the US together with the announcement of the Premier Healthcare alliance contract for SI USA Inc.

UK surgeons Professor Mike McMahon, co-founder of SI, and Chris Sutton, a member of the SI Clinical Advisory Board, will be attending to discuss the benefits of our products with the surgeon attendees. Members of our concept design team, including SI’s Technical Director, will also attend to promote our latest innovations and share ideas, ensuring that SI remains at the cutting-edge of creative solutions for surgeons.

SAGES is an abbreviation for the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. The society was formed in 1981 to promote, support and encourage academic, clinical and research achievement in gastrointestinal endoscopic surgery. Now SAGES boasts more than 6,000 general surgeon members from countries around the world. The annual meeting is oriented towards minimally invasive surgery and was attended by 2,200 surgeons in 2011.
